The dutch love coffee and Piet & Anita have a Philips Senseo coffee maker which makes lovely coffee quickly. So it was top of the list of items to be purchased today! We also bought some sweets and spreads which the girls enjoy to keep us supplied for a while.

Supermarkets in NL have a system of chaining their trolleys together and you free a trolley by inserting a 50c coin in the mechanism on the handle. Once finished using the trolley, you simply put it back, put the link back in and your 50c is returned to you. It is very rare to see trollies left around a shop or 1-2 kilometres away.
We have been to Voorschoten market twice and the choice of cheeses is amazing. Emma has been enjoying goat's milk cheese and had a choice of young, in between or old!! The stall holder is always happy to give a generous sized slice to taste.
