Delta Works and Veere
Wed 22 Jul 2009
20 °C
Our last day with the big white 7-seater car so we headed south west and we stopped at Port Zelande for coffee/hot choc and apple strudel - wow - that was lunch!
Apple strudel
We then continued on towards Neeltje Jans, a man made island in the middle of one section of the Delta Works.

It was a blustery, windy day so we only stopped briefly at N J, then carried onto Veere where we had a relaxed look around.
Harbour side street in Veere
It is a peaceful village like Akaroa, with its own personality and we all enjoyed it. We ate dinner on a bench on the side of the harbour on the river then drove over the 5km Zeeland bridge back home.
