Aerdenhout and Katwijk North
Mon 13 Jul 2009 25 °C
Another quiet day.
We all drove to Aerdenhout to visit the grave of Shirley´s aunt, Tante Janny, who had visited NZ twice in the last few years.
We then went to the beach north of Katwijk, east of Leiden. Shirley´s mother would walk to this beach when she lived at home, for a swim, and then walk back. A trip of 9km each way! These days lots of people bike.

There is paid parking for cars and bikes. Little beach houses are available for hire, or take your own shelter.

In the evening cousins Henriette and Sabine dropped in. We had not met Sabine earlier so it was a pleasant evening sitting outside in the garden.
