Packing Day

all seasons in one day 22 °C

We each brought a suitcase with us to NL plus a few extra soft sided bags, which was well under our maximum allowance of 2 bags each weighing 23kg a piece. Hmmmmmmmmm. We now are faced with the task of packing everything we brought and bought!

We need to pack some items together because they are duty free and customs might want to see them. We also have a few items which have wood that we will need to declare in NZ. And then there's the Gourmetstel and that coffee machine!

Rosemary had her suitcase packed first, and Emma was a close second. Jennifer will finish hers tomorrow. Shirley has most of her clothes packed and the toiletries will have to go in last.

And then we will put the sweets somewhere!

In the afternoon Anita and Shirley bought Limburgse Vlaai (a heavy cake base with varying toppings) to have with the coffee later when some relatives will come to say goodbye.

Tomorrow Ruben & Cintia are heading away to Germany for a 2 week holiday and Petra & Jan & Ester are flying to India for three weeks.

Oom Koos, Tante Toos, Oom Henk, Tante Ploni and Patrick came to say good bye too. Our flight on Sunday is too early for them to come to the airport.

It was en gezellige avond! and it was lovely to have another chance to see family again.
