Working Bee and Ice Cream

semi-overcast 22 °C

The morning started well with warm, overcast weather - ideal for tidying the garden at Piet and Anita's house which is being sold. After breakfast, Emma and Shirley cycled over to the house, Piet, Chris, Jennifer and Rosemary drove in the 7-seater.

The working bee began. Weeds were pulled from the garden and between the paving stones. The small piece of grass was cut by hand using clippers! The computer, desk, chair and table were brought down the spiral staircase and packed into the back of the car. It was a 3D jigsaw puzzle!

In the garden at Piet and Anita's house, looking from the back door towards the shed at the back of the property. This is about half of the garden, so it's quite small. Note the lawn (center)!

The incentive for the girls was an ice cream and another visit to the bead shop in Leiden. It worked and we were finished in time for lunch back in Voorschoten.

After lunch, all 5 ┬┤girls┬┤ cycled into Leiden for retail therapy and that well earned ice cream. Mc D's have McFlurrys here in NL!

After dinner we had a visit from Piet's brother Wim & Marja. A pleasant evening to end the day.
